UB basketball season report: How are the Bulls doing?

As regular season play begins to wind down, the men’s and women’s basketball teams find themselves on contrasting paths. While both squads entered the year with hopes of improvement, the women’s side has had one of their most impressive regular season performances, whereas the men’s squad appear to still be reeling from last year’s problems.

Men’s basketball bested by Bowling Green

Following an away-game win over Northern Illinois (5-20, 1-11 MAC) last Tuesday, the Bulls (8-17, 3-9 MAC) were defeated 63-59 by the Bowling Green Falcons in their return to home conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Men’s basketball overcomes Fredonia in tight match

After defeating Old Dominion (0-2, 0-0 SBC) this past Monday with a last-second buzzer beater, UB men’s basketball (2-0, 0-0 MAC) beat the Fredonia State Blue Devils (0-0, 0-0 SUNYAC) 87-78 in the second match of last Friday’s basketball doubleheader. The result earned Buffalo their first 2-0 start to a season since 2018.

UB triumphs over Akron 41-30

The UB Bulls defeated the Akron Zips by a score of 41-30 at InfoCision Stadium, marking their 7th straight win over the program. The victory also put UB back in the win column after two consecutive losses.
