Track successful at Bucknell

The Bulls track teams captured a trio of individual victories for the men and four for the women last weekend at the Bucknell Bison Open in Lewisburg, Pa.On a gorgeous weekend at Christy Matewson Memorial Stadium, the men were led by top performances from senior Bryan Weinstein.

Bulls finish strong in Ohio

A broken school record and a national qualifier were just two of the achievements that the outdoor track and field team made while competing in last weekend's Miami Invitational.The Bulls left Rider Track in Oxford, OH with a second-place finish on the men's side and a fifth-place finish on the women's.Junior Roy Richards led the men's squad with an all-around performance, as he won the long jump, the 100-meter dash and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4-by-400-meter relay team for Buffalo.Richards proved he was back on top in the long jump with a leap of 24-3 3/4.

Lister wins pole vault in Raleigh

Junior Jessica Lister won her first pole vault event of the outdoor season, bounding 11 feet, 9 3/4 inches at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday.Lister's victory at Paul Derr Track in Raleigh, N.C., was the second in as many weeks for Buffalo pole vaulters.

Indoor success shows in outdoor meet

Buffalo opened the outdoor track and field season last weekend with impressive outings by both squads, the men finishing second of eight and the women placing third of six teams at the Seahawk Invitational in North Carolina.The University of North Carolina-Wilmington hosted the meet at its Harold Greene Track and Field Complex, where the men and women each brought home victories in three events.

Richards qualifies for NCAA tournament

For the fifth time this year, junior long jumper Roy Richards won the title in the long jump. His latest victory, on Saturday, came at the Intercollegiate Amateur Athletics Association Championships in Boston, Mass.Richards' win was his second in as many weeks after he took the long jump crown at the Mid-American Conference Championship last weekend.

Track takes four titles at conference finals

A trio of individuals and one relay team captured titles at the two-day indoor track conference championships at Bowling Green over the weekend.The women's medley relay team, juniors Roy Richards and Rayshon Higgins, and senior Jen Jezorski all snagged Mid-American Conference championships for the Bulls.The medley relay team consisting of freshman Mary Veith and seniors Stacey Downer, Kate Kohout and Jezorski set the tone for the Bulls in the final event of day one.

Jezorski sets mile record at Penn State

Swift senior Jen Jezorski set a new Bulls indoor track and field record in her one-mile run last weekend at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup hosted by Penn State University.Despite low overall team scoring, Jezorski had individual success.
