Men's basketball falls to Ohio, marking seventh straight loss

The Bulls now are still first place in the Eastern Division, but they now sit in seventh place in the MAC.
The UB women’s basketball team (1-0, 0-0 MAC) came from behind against the Canisius Golden Griffins (0-1, 0-0 MAAC) in the season opener at Alumni Arena Monday night, winning 69-60.
On Saturday, UB hit the 20-win mark against Northern Illinois (8-17, 6-7 MAC). That victory pushed UB past last year’s total of 19 and marked the program’s most victories since 1995, when the team won 22.

The UB football team (2-5, 2-1 MAC) lost its first Mid-American Conference (MAC) game of the season to Bowling Green (3-4, 1-2 MAC) by a score of 24-14.
Friday's loss was the first the Bulls have suffered at home this season after winning their last three home games, giving them a 4-1 record at home. It was also UBu2019s first loss in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) after sweeping Kent State last week to open MAC play.
Mid-American Conference (MAC) play began for the UB women’s volleyball team (12-2, 2-0 MAC) as it traveled to Kent State and beat down the Golden Flashes (4-9, 0-2 MAC) twice in two matches.
UB started the Queens-based tournament with a 3-0 loss to No. 16-ranked Arkansas before winning the other two games.
Men’s basketball begins its season on Oct. 23 with an exhibition against Daemen University and then officially kicks things off with a game against Fairleigh Dickinson University on Nov. 6.
