UB students supportive, but unsure of DOGE’s impact

President-elect Donald Trump selected Elon Musk, co-founder and CEO of Tesla, and Vivek Ramaswamy, former presidential candidate for the 2024 Republican nomination and founder of Roivant Sciences, as the leaders of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in an announcement released on Nov. 12.

Hackathon puts UB students’ coding skills to the test

A student-run Hackathon organized by UBHacking took place in Davis Hall over the weekend of Nov. 9-10, featuring team-led projects, mentorship, networking events and a career fair with Valmar Holdings and M&T Tech. The event aimed to showcase students’ hacking and coding skills Amazon Web Services (AWS) sponsored the event, but only had representation present.
