"What up, Carlos?"

You're praying to the porcelain gods and getting cozy on the bathroom floor all morning. Your headache is pounding through the front of your skull and your stomach is twisting and turning as you go for a roller coaster ride on your couch.

Bulls come up short on senior day

On a day when the women's tennis team bid farewell to its lone senior, Tamara Markovic, the emotion made it hard for Buffalo to focus. In the last home match of the season, the Bulls (11-4, 2-4 Mid-American Conference) fell to Akron (16-8, 4-2 MAC), 6-1. "It's an emotional day," said head coach Kristen Ortman.

Cold day on Main Street

The shining sun did not make the mercury rise in the thermometer on Tuesday afternoon. It was a chilly March afternoon as the Bulls (12-11, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) saw an early lead disappear against Big Four rival Canisius (15-7), as Buffalo lost 6-5. After jumping to an early 5-1 lead in the second inning, Buffalo failed to record a run in six consecutive innings, finishing the game going 5 for 29 from the plate while striking out 10 times. "Their guys kept us off balance," said head coach Ron Torgalski.

Last Saturday, four of the table tennis club's top players could not make the trip to Mississauga, Ontario, to play in the Great Lakes Regional Tournament.

Jokes on them

The outfield is the core of the Bulls' roster this spring, and its members have been going extra hard to make sure they can carry the weight. The unit has aimed to be most intense when it comes to lifting, and the athletes believe all the weight training will give them an edge over other teams. "I'd put us up against any team in the nation that we could out-lift them," said senior outfielder Jason Kanzler.
