First on-campus ice rink to open spring semester

Before the start of Thanksgiving break, a sign was posted outside the Student Union telling students not to forget to bring a pair of ice skates back to UB after winter break. Starting this spring semester, UB students will be able to ice skate for free on campus.

An international market close to home

An aroma of different foods captured the attention of many students lined up outside Student Union 145 on Saturday night. The sights and smells were hard to resist, as performances and cultural cuisines came together to galvanize an estimated 300 people in attendance at the sixth annual Asian American Student Union (AASU) Night Market. The event, which included over 30 different clubs and organizations, is an annual event inspired by authentic night markets that exist in many different Asian countries.

Mike Jiang thinks Buffalo is missing some culture. His solution? A bubble tea bistro in The Commons. Jiang, a UB alum who majored in business and communication, is opening a Kung Fu Tea, a popular destination for bubble-milk tea in the New York City area.
