Women’s basketball (19-2, 8-2 MAC) defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies (9-12, 3-7 MAC) with a score of 84-58 in the first game of Saturday afternoon’s basketball doubleheader in Alumni Arena. The game was a celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and marked head coach Becky Burke’s 50th win with the UB Bulls.

The UB Bulls (2-0, 0-0 MAC) defeated the Buffalo State Bengals (0-0, 0-0 SUNYAC) 123-44 in the first game of Friday night’s basketball doubleheader in Alumni Arena.
Women’s basketball (1-0, 0-0 MAC) opened their regular season with a nail-biter against the Troy University Trojans (0-1, 0-0 SBC) in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Sun-Belt Challenge. The game remained close throughout all four quarters, but the Bulls were able to secure the win with a final score of 80-78.
Women’s basketball (1-0, 0-0 MAC) defeated the Daemen University Wildcats (0-1, 0-0 ECC) 82-38 in an exhibition matchup on Sunday afternoon, marking Buffalo’s fourth consecutive preseason victory over Daemen.
Following last week’s win against Northern Illinois (6-4-3, 0-3-2 MAC), the UB Bulls (8-1-3, 3-1-1 MAC) tied with the Ball State Cardinals (6-3-2, 1-1-2 MAC) in Sunday afternoon’s game at Briner Sports Field in Muncie, Indiana, with a final score of 0-0.
After being defeated by the Niagara Purple Eagles in their fall ball opener by a score of 1-5, UB softball (2-1) won both exhibition games on Sunday’s doubleheader against the Edinboro Fighting Scots (0-2) at Nan Harvey Field with scores of 8-1 and 9-1, respectively.
UB’s football team (2-1, 0-0 MAC) beat the University at Massachusetts Minutemen (1-2, 0-0 A10) at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a score of 34-3. This was UMass’s first appearance at UB Stadium since 2015 and marks their last meeting as a non-conference opponent, as the Minutemen are slated to become members of the MAC in 2025.
