Despite UB's UBreathe Free efforts, smokers gather outside Capen Hall, known to some as "Smoker Alley," as well as Lockwood Library and the Student Union. Students, faculty or staff can call 645-SMOK to report someone smoking on campus.

Phillips Stevens Jr. is heading to Nigeria next month and is coming back to UB with a new title: chief. Stevens, an associate professor of anthropology, is going to Nigeria on Nov.
