A new shift

When I was younger, I wanted to be a scientist, a reporter and a basketball player. And even though I am good at free throws, I knew I would always end up choosing one path. But I never thought one childhood desire would lead me to one of the best decisions I made at UB. Before The Spectrum, I was unmotivated and stagnant.

UB downsizes construction plans for campuses

UB is more than $500 million short of what it needs to finish its original construction and renovation plans across all three campuses. The university has hit its spending cap for capital projects and recently presented a new plan with revised expenditures. The original Five-Year Capital Plan allocated $404 million for projects on North Campus, $136 million for South Campus and $24 million for the downtown campus.


Jayralin Herrera, a sophomore environmental studies major, wanted her three piercings to have bilateral symmetry, which is having symmetry in respect to the center of your face. She has two stretched earlobes, and a septum and philtrum piercing that lies in the middle between her nose and lips.
