OPINION

J. Cole, your favorite 'woke' rapper, is probably a misogynist

It seems that the focus of social consciousness in rap is around black men, with women and people who identify as LGBT excluded and often attacked. Unfortunately this isn’t just a problem within rap. This has been a quite common belief regarding movements such as #BlackLivesMatter for quite some time.

The thematic core of the album – love and love of music – gives the album vibes that fit best lounging around with friends or a loved one in the summer sun.

Here are the top 5.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ recaptures both the perfections and imperfections of original trilogy

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” recaptures the spirit of the original trilogy. The stories are simple. The humor is done appropriately. The characters make you care about them. There’s not much exposition and there’s often convenient plot devices to get the heroes out of tricky situations. It emulates the original trilogy’s perfections and imperfections.

How UB arts students handle finals week

Students in arts majors programs employ preparation techniques different than many students, mainly due to the nature of their examinations. Most of their finals examinations are performance-based – although some do involve memorization – but the physical and creative aspect of art is hard to quantify on just paper alone.

Will the Blumquists ever learn on ‘Fargo’?

Earlier in the season, I criticized “Fargo”for focusing too much on the Blumquists early on. They seemed boring to me, like just another folksy Minnesota couple. Maybe it was their accents that threw me off. By now, the Blumquists are the uncontrollable factor that keeps the gang war fresh and unpredictable.
