Your response to Sami Hanna was less than spectacular. In fact, it was downright lame. I could have respected an answer that just came out and said, "We print the letters we want." Perhaps this is a chance for you to be creative and (at the risk of using a buzz-word) think outside the box. Why not post all the feedback you receive on the Web site, but only print the best of it? You've got a lot of unrealized potential with the Web site.
I know, and respect, that you try to keep yourself as independent from the university as possible. Why do we have to send our feedback to a hotmail account? You already owe them "spectrum-editorial@buffalo.edu" and "http://spectrum.buffalo.edu."
The comic strip "Better Than Stick Figures" is a total waste of space. It is poorly drawn and poorly written. If you really want to put somebody's brother's comic, why not create a small comic section and feature comics written and drawn by the student body? Or get something we can't get in The Buffalo News, like SinFest. I'd rather see advertising on the op-ed pages.
