Junior running back Kevin Marks announced Tuesday he will enter the NCAA transfer portal following three seasons at UB.
Marks rushed for 741 yards and seven touchdowns while splitting carries with Jaret Patterson this past season, capping his UB career off with 138 yards and a game-winning touchdown against Marshall in the Camellia Bowl, the Bulls’ second bowl win in program history.
Marks released a statement on Twitter thanking his teammates and coaches for the past three years at UB.
With Marks’ decision to transfer and Patterson’s declaration for the NFL Draft, UB will lose two of the best running backs in the MAC this offseason. Patterson is the Bulls’ second all-time leading rusher with 3,884 yards and is the program leader in rushing touchdowns with 52. Marks ranks seventh on the UB all-time rushing list with 2,621 yards and fifth all-time with 28 rushing touchdowns.
Outside of Patterson and Marks, UB running backs combined for just 27 carries last season. UB will now turn to an inexperienced group of running backs led by sophomore Ron Cook Jr. as next season approaches
