The Spectrum Challenge: Week Three

With only one week left in The Spectrum Challenge, finding ways to avoid temptation and stay motivated can be the most difficult. Even though some of the contestants have been exercising and eating better, they're not necessarily seeing the scale move, which can dampen motivation.

Contestant David Jarka didn't lose any weight between last week and now, but he is satisfied with the fact that he has doubled the weight he can lift in the past three weeks. Once a week he runs what he calls "the big 20," consisting of a series of 100-yard dashes. He feels stronger and healthier.

Another contestant, Joyce Wang, walked Relay for Life Friday evening and has made a habit of exercising regularly. She eats a smaller lunch and looks forward to running outside once the weather turns for the better.

Be proud of each small step you make towards becoming healthier.
