UB Spring Fest ticket registration opens

Surge of students causes slow website response

UB’s Student Association opened Spring Fest ticket registration for all undergraduate students this morning at 10 a.m.

More than 2,500 students registered for concert tickets by 11 a.m.

The website slowed down considerably because of students logging on to the website, but it never crashed, according to SA president Matt Rivera.

“Due to upwards of 1,100 students logging in at once, it was running slowly, which is natural,” Rivera said in an email. “Around 11 a.m. we hit a steady flow of about 500 people actively on the site.”

Rivera believes the attendance cap will be reached by the end of the week.

The Spectrum will continue to post updates as SA releases more information on ticket registration.
