Men's Basketball
UB men's basketball coaching staff has decided to redshirt freshman Steve McDonnell for the remainder of this season. McDonnell saw his only action against Chicago State Nov. 24, where he scored seven points in seven minutes.
Erin Lawrenson of the women's basketball team put up a career-high 20 points including four three-pointers against Marshall this past week. Her three-pointer with 28.3 seconds remaining was the shot that sent the game into overtime. In the Bulls' next game she ripped down a career-high ten rebounds against Ball State.
Nick Zieziula of the men's tennis team also had a stellar week, posting a 1-1 singles mark and reaching the quarterfinals of the Milwaukee Tennis Classic with his partner Randy Rocchio. Rocchio and Zieziula knocked off the sixth-seeded team from Ohio State.
The Buffalo Bulls men's swimming and diving squad were able to put up an impressive win against Niagara University on Tuesday night. They defeated the Purple Eagles by a score of 161-72 at the Kiernan Center to complete their season sweep of them. UB's record now stands at 2-2 on the season.
