This year's line-up for Fallfest is official. The unnatural trifecta of Lil' Kim, Busta Rhymes, and Godsmack will be taking the stage on Friday, Sept. 12 at either Alumni Arena or Baird Point, contingent on weather conditions.
Godsmack's 1998 self-titled debut went platinum a few times over, spurred by the hard rock hits "Keep Away," "Whatever," and the cryptic track "Voodoo." They have scored more hits with the songs "Awake" and "Straight Out of Line," off their two follow-ups, "Awake" and "Faceless."
28-year-old rap vixen Lil' Kim made her mark on the rap world as a member of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. and has since gone on to win many fans with her solo work on Bad Boy Records, with hits like "Crush on You" and "No Time." Her latest times in the spotlight have been alongside Christiana Aguilera, Pink, and Mya on the "Lady Marmalade" remake, as well as a new album entitled "La Bella Mafia."
Hip-hop legend turned blossoming actor Busta Rhymes will make his Fallfest debut. From his early work with Leaders of the New School in the early 1990s to his massive solo success and formation of the Flip Mode Squad, Rhymes and his characteristic voice has extended his time in the mainstream spotlight longer than many of his peers.
Fallfest 2003 will be free to UB students, with a limited amount of tickets made available to the general public day of show for $20.50.
