I'm writing to offer my apologies and take personal responsibility for a photograph that appeared in the March 25 issue of Generation magazine. The photograph, a picture of Assistant Features Editor Eli Dickinson standing next to a stack of Spectrum newspapers nearly his height, was meant, of course, for thematic purposes only and was never meant to offend or insult the Spectrum editorial board, or the Spectrum's readers.
The photograph intended to add a more personal feel to the article that addressed the Spectrum's financial concerns. As always, the graphic found inside Generation magazine are there to give the reader something visually appealing to go along with what it is he is reading.
Our intent at Generation, most of the time, anyway, is not to offend, upset or insult our readers, friends, rival publications, the UB administration or anybody else. We, however, sometimes overlook responsibility at the sake of putting together a decent magazine. So, I offer my apologies to The Spectrum. I hope we're still cool.
