Coming off a career-best performance against Miami (OH), UB quarterback Kyle Vantrease was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week Nov. 16. Vantrease is the second straight UB player to earn the award this season following teammate Jaret Patterson last week.
In the Bulls Nov. 10 victory, Vantrease threw four touchdowns for a career-high 353 yards. In the second half, the junior quarterback went 9-for-9 for 229 yards and three touchdowns.
Averaging 292 yards through the first two games of the season, Vantrease leads the MAC in passing. He has five passing touchdowns, good for second in the conference.
This is the second time in his career Vantrease has earned the honor. He was also recognized last season following the Bulls’ victory over Eastern Michigan.
The Bulls head to Bowling Green, OH to face off against the Falcons Tuesday night.
