Two football players receive awards following win vs. EMU

Senior running back Branden Oliver had his best game of the season Saturday during the Bulls' 42-14 win over Eastern Michigan. Oliver ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns, including a 60-yard touchdown run on the Bulls' first possession of the game. He also totaled 32 yards receiving.

Oliver was named the Mid-American Conference East Division's Player of the Week in honor of his performance. He achieved the gaudy numbers in just three quarters of play due to the Bulls' large lead entering the fourth quarter.

This is the third time Oliver has received the award in his career.

Sophomore running back Devin Campbell recorded the longest return by a Bull in UB Stadium history with his 96-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second quarter. It was the first kick-return touchdown for Buffalo since 2008.

On Monday, College Football Performance Awards recognized Campbell as the National Kickoff Returner of the Week.

Campbell also had a 31-yard return to begin the second half - in addition to 26 yards receiving and a 1-yard touchdown run on the day.
