Women's Swimming

The Bulls (2-3, 1-3 MAC) split their first (and only) home dual meet of the season, falling to the Ball State Cardinals (3-1, 2-1) 182-108 and defeating the Bowling Green Falcons (2-4, 0-4) 193-107. Sophomore Jen Brankovsky won three individual events for UB. Buffalo also placed one-two in the 1650 freestyle with junior Jolie Pun (17:36:11) and senior captain Trina Sinclair (17:44:78).

UB had a strong day on the diving boards with freshman Ashlee Burton placing first in one-meter diving (248.25 points) and fourth in three-meter diving (225.08). Sophomore Kim LaHaye (270.60) placed first in three-meter diving and sophomore Tracy Hoover took second on one meter (244.80) and third on three meter (233.33).

Buffalo travels to Pittsburgh in two weeks to participate in the Pittsburgh Invitational from Nov. 22-24.

Volleyball

Ohio (21-7, 11-3 MAC) put together 30-22, 30-15 and 30-16 wins in games one, three and four to hand the Bulls (9-19, 1-13) their 13th loss in MAC play and their 19th loss overall on Saturday.

The Bulls were shutout on Friday at Marshall. The win for Marshall (18-8, 9-4 MAC) was head coach Mitch Jacobs' 200th career victory. The Thundering Herd swept the Bulls 30-27, 30-25 and 31-29.

Bouie surpassed the 500-mark in career kills during the game against Ohio (510). Matikosh is now in the top 10 in two categories (kills and digs) for a single-season. Matikosh ranks eighth all-time with 397 kills and 10th all-time with 385 digs this season. She currently has 998 kills and 999 digs in her career.

Men's Swimming

Buffalo fell to Ball State by a score of 160-81 Saturday at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The Bulls (0-2, 0-2 MAC) were led by a pair of solid individual efforts as sophomore Mark Sy won the mile (1650 freestyle) in 16:15:93 and the 500 free in a time of 4:42:67, bettering his career mark from last week's meet against Ohio (4:44:54). Diver Pat Lee also placed first in two events for Buffalo. Lee took first in one meter diving with 268.73 points and three meter diving with 286.50 points.

The men's team will also be competing in the Pittsburgh Invitational in two weeks.
