The University at Buffalo's mascot has been selected to the inaugural Capital One All-America Mascot Team. He is currently competing against 11 other mascots for the Capital One Mascot of the Year and will be featured in an upcoming television advertising campaign.

The junior forward on the women's basketball team was named to Preseason All-Mid-American Conference East Division Team by the MAC News Media Association yesterday. Kochendorfer led the Bulls in 2001-02 with 14.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.36 blocks per game. She was an Honorable Mention All-MAC selection last season. She was also named an honorable mention All-American by www.womenscollegehoops.com last year.
Andrea Csaszar (Kent State), Heather Cusick (Miami), Ida Dotson (Marshall) and Valerie Zona (Kent State) round out the rest of the Preseason All-MAC East Division Team. The West Division Team includes Tamara Bowie (Ball State), Tia Davis (Toledo), Kristin Koetsier (Western Michigan), Francine Miller (Bowling Green) and Jennifer Youngblood (Northern Illinois).
The Preseason All-MAC Teams were released on Wednesday.
From the East Division, seniors Brandon Hunter (Ohio) and Antonio Gates (Kent State) were selected. Juniors Andy Hipsher (Akron), Ronald Blackshear (Marshall) and Juby Johnson (Miami) were the other selections.
The West Division Team consists of seniors Theron Smith (Ball State), Chris Kaman (Central Michigan), Nick Moore (Toledo) and Robby Collum (Western Michigan). Ricky Cottrill (Eastern Michigan) was the lone junior selected.
