In remembrance of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and the tragedies that occurred in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., the following will be taking place at UB today:
Campus-wide moments of silence:
- 8:47 a.m.
- 9:03 a.m.
- 9:43 a.m.
- 9:59 a.m.
- 10:10 a.m.
- 10:29 a.m. - the final moment of silence will be accompanied by a tolling of bells.
Memorial Program:
Includes musical selections, prayers and a display of the names of those whose lives were lost. Members of the UB community who were lost in the attacks will be honored by the placement of a dedicatory stone in Buffalo Plaza. President William R. Greiner will give remarks.
Candlelight vigil:
Sponsored by the Student Association and the Residence Hall Association. Campus Ministries will offer prayers. Moments of silence will be observed and followed by an open microphone for reflections and prayers.
Labyrinth:
Courtesy of Campus Ministries, a labyrinth will be set up in the field between the Commons and the CFA for reflection and prayer.
