Corey Blair
The UB baseball senior first baseman has been named as the MAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Blair was 3-3 with one RBI and one run scored against MAC foe Bowling Green in the Bulls 11-6 victory on April 12. He was nominated not only for his outstanding athletic performance, but his 3.56 GPA.
Women's Basketball
UB Head Coach Cheryl Dozier announced her third signing of the off-season this week with 6'2" post player Lauren Burd. A three-year starter at Central York High School in Pennsylvania, Burd averaged 10 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks her last two seasons. She chose UB over Bucknell, Drexel, and St. Peter's.
The Bulls dropped another conference match Saturday with a 7-0 loss at Eastern Michigan. Buffalo is home against Bowling Green this afternoon at the Ellicott tennis courts.
The sophomore forward from the UB women's basketball team was honored by womenscollegehoops.com, receiving honorable mention honors on the Web site's second annual All-American Team. Kochendorfer led the Bulls with 14 points and seven rebounds per game. She also posted a team-high with seven double-doubles.
