UB employees incur approximately $200,000 in travel expenses

Ten UB employees spent $209,187.65 in travel expenses during the ‘23-24 academic year, according to a travel expenditure spreadsheet acquired by The Spectrum. University Provost A. Scott Weber incurred $487.58 in costs while President Satish K. Tripathi did not have any recorded.

The UB women's volleyball struggled to find a win over the weekend at the Sunshine Tournament.

Women’s volleyball wraps up non-conference play in Florida

Following their victory over Niagara Purple Eagles Wednesday night the UB women’s volleyball team (4-9, 0-0 MAC) traveled to Gainesville, Florida to attend the Sunshine Invitation hosted by Florida. Buffalo were unable to come away with a single win, losing both of their matches 3-0. The Bulls have struggled in tournaments, having not won one since hosting the Buffalo Invitational.



Letter to the Editor: 'President Tripathi and his posse have wounded UB'

On May 1 2024, a group of UB students and community members gathered on campus to demand that UB end any investments in direct or indirect support of the Gaza genocide. Rather than talking with them, UB President Satish K. Tripathi assembled a posse of heavily armed and armored officers from UB and several suburban police departments and directed them to end the protest.
