After four years a the head coach of UB’s men’s soccer program, Stu Riddle will be leaving the program to accept the same job at Western Kentucky, according to a Buffalo News report.

“It’s a sad scenario to have to leave Buffalo,” Riddle told The Buffalo News. “Professionally, I thought I could do big things here, but with the resources at hand, this was as much as I could do.”

Riddle was 28-32-13 in his four years as head coach, but had led the team to back-to-back Mid-American Conference Championship games in the past two years. On both occasions they were bested by Akron by one goal.

In addition to losing Riddle, Buffalo graduated seven seniors this year. However, the Bulls have eight rising seniors returning for this upcoming season.

Riddle’s departure will give Athletic Director Allen Greene his first chance to make a hire since taking the job.
